- We recommend that you begin interviewing pediatricians about six months into your pregnancy. We believe that the physicians and staff of Treehouse Pediatrics will come highly recommended by your obstetrician. Perhaps even your friends have children here at Treehouse- be sure to ask them!
- We welcome interviews. This gives you an opportunity to get to know the doctor and it gives us an opportunity to get to know you! Prenatal appointments are free of charge and usually available at 8:00 a.m. Please check with our receptionist for additional information.
How soon after birth will my baby be seen
Most hospitals ask for the name of your pediatrician before you deliver. That way, if there are complications during your pregnancy or delivery, your baby can be examined by their pediatrician at birth, otherwise your baby's first examination will take place within the first 24 hours after birth.
What hospitals do the doctors have privileges at?
Our doctors see babies at Round Rock and North Austin Medical Centers. If you deliver at a different hospital, we will ask that you follow up with us when you are discharged.
Do I need to make an appointment if I have questions?
Please, call us anytime! Our qualified triage staff is available Monday – Friday, 8-5 to answer your questions. We also have a helpful resource on our web-site. After hours, phone calls are answered by our call center, with our on-call physician always available to answer urgent questions.
Who covers, if my doctor is not available?
Our doctors will always try to be available to see patients. Should the schedule be full or a time slot not available that meets your need, our Nurse Practitioners are ready to help. Please allow them the opportunity to share in the medical care of your child.
What is the checkup and immunization schedule?
We follow the guidelines established by The American Academy of Pediatrics. They recommend checkups at months two, four, six, nine, twelve, fifteen, eighteen, and twenty-four. And checkups should be scheduled annually after that.
What’s next?
Ask yourself if you feel comfortable with the doctor, staff and atmosphere of the office? The real test will come once baby arrives! If you are uncomfortable with anything, please speak to your doctor or office manager immediately. We want our parents and patients to be happy with EVERY visit. |
